The purpose of the Humboldt Bay Mycological Society is to promote the enjoyment and appreciation of wild mushrooms through study and the exchange of information. Everyone who has an interest in wild mushrooms is welcome to become a HBMS member.
Your membership supports our nonprofit with scholarships, travel costs and honoraria for speakers, rental fees, initial fair costs, and hopefully even more as our membership grows! While our meetings from September-January are open and free to all, as a member you also get:

Memberships will expire January 2027.
HBMS is committed to maintaining an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment. HBMS reserves the right to refuse or revoke membership at any time, for any reason, and without notice or refund, in accordance with the best interests of the organization and its members. Members who engage in disruptive, harmful, or disrespectful behavior may be subject to removal from the organization, at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors.
