Workshop: The Art of Cultivating Mushrooms on Logs
Come learn the skills you need to successfully grow edible mushrooms on hardwood logs! In this workshop, participants will learn about wood selection, mushroom species, inoculation techniques, and how to achieve successful mushroom fruiting. This easy method of mushroom cultivation is a great way to grow nutritious, protein-rich food for you and your family. Whether you are interested in backyard cultivation or market production, this introductory class will get you on your way.
Participants will each take home a shiitake log!

Levon Durr has been a mushroom and veggie farmer for over 30 years. He founded Fungaia Farm in 2011 to bring more fresh culinary and medicinal mushrooms to Humboldt County.
